What America and England do best, courtesy of Virginia A Smith

Posted on November 1, 2012 by yankeebean

I came across a blog post today and the first line had me laughing out loud.  I have to repost it because it’s such a concise, brutally honest take on what America and England do best.

A few of my personal favourites are:

  • America does best -> Innovate  ::  England does best -> Muddle through
  • America does best -> Loose lips  ::  England does best -> Stiff upper lip
  • America does best -> Mega churches  ::  England does best -> Empty churches

Check out the full post here -

It’s not to be missed – I’m still chortling.  :D

Hi, you Yorkshire/American ladies are awesome! One mention of my post in your blog brought me 336 views yesterday, and 159 so far today. I’m overwhelmed, it’s such fun to know that my posts are being read. You guys must have one hell of a reach.

Thanks again for creating this link between us! Let’s be in touch. All best, Virginia

Hehehe, it’s a true post. However, one thing us Brits do better, no political ads!

“Obama, eats children….I’m Mitt Romney and I approve this message.” It’s just soul destroying from both parties!

    PS. I love America

Man-oh-man, TELL me about it. I remember when I still lived in the States – it was the only time I ever seriously considered becoming either Amish or a hermit so I wouldn’t have to hear Election-smear-bollocks EVERY SECOND OF EVERY DAY.

And am I ever tired of it, too. Apparently, on one network there were 16 (yes, 16?) political ads in a row. But, not to show my true colors, I gotta run. There’s a phone bank in my town for a certain President who must remain so that I have to get to . . .
