I just watched Obama take his oath and realised my earlier post might have seemed a little silly (although meant lightheartedly) on such an exciting day in our history. So, on a more serious note… Happy Inauguration Day and a huge warm welcome to our new president! :)

    I have been watching the clips tonight because I missed it live. Today I feel hope for America, and feel the energy and change that is in the air! Its great!!

    yay, an American who is happy to have Obama! Me too.
    I try not to talk politics too much, but, YAY. I spend a lot of time on a base where most of the Americans there aren’t the happiest to have lost Bush.

    Hi Rod,

    That is an interesting perspective. There was so much excitement in the US and Britian when Obama was elected and then inaugurated. It is a big change!!
